How to Clean White Shoes

White shoes look cute and shiny when they are new and clean, but they tend to get dirty easily and wear out with use. To keep them looking fresh, you should clean them frequently. Although cleaning by hand is better to preserve the fabric, you can try different cleaning solutions such as soapy water, baking soda, bleach, and toothpaste. Once clean, your shoes will look like new again.

How to Clean White Shoes

Today we start with the whites.

To clean white shoes, such as sports shoes, you need:

  • A rag

  • Hot water

  • Detergent

  • Whitening toothpaste

  • Soft toothbrush

Steps to follow:

1. We will start removing the shoelaces, and we will soak them with a little warm water with laundry detergent.

2. Next, we will submerge a clean cloth in the bucket with warm water and laundry detergent, and we will drain it well to remove the excess water. We will rub the entire surface of the shoe and we will rinse the cloth in the bucket with soap and water, to get rid of the dirt.

3. After rubbing the shoes well, we will put some whitening toothpaste on a toothbrush and brush them gently with circular movements.

4. We will also pass the brush with toothpaste on the bottom of the shoe.

5. When we are finished, we will clean all the toothpaste from the shoe, with the help of a clean cloth soaked in fresh water.

6. Finally, remove the laces from the water mixed with the detergent, and rinse them in the sink with clean water.

7. Let the shoelaces and shoes dry in the sun.
